The GM-12E is also suitable as a motion simulator for ships and aircraft.
Our large 2 axis and 3 axis gimbal mounts are equipped with high performance rotary stages and offer excellent stiffness and load capacity making them suitable for a wide variety of applications. The GM-12E is equipped with direct-read high resolution optical angular encoders mounted to the rotating output spindle. This improves the bi-directional repeatability over the standard GM-12.
The GM-12E uses high torque NEMA 23 stepper motors coupled to precision preloaded worm gears providing backlash free positioning. Optical limit and home switches are standard items. The angular encoders provide a reference mark with a repeatability of +/- 1 encoder count.
The GM-12E is offered with a choice of a mirror cell for 12″ (300 mm) diameter optics or a flat payload mounting plate. The payload mounting plate is available with 1/4-20 or M6 threads.
The rear of the GM-12E has connectors for a clean and reliable connection.
